Sima Gonsai is a visual artist and independent filmmaker from the UK with a passion for artistic storytelling in dance and film. For the past twelve years, she has directed and produced regional and international work in film, screen dance, drama and digital installation.

Screen dance is an art form that merges dance, film and music. Presenting a collection of artistic films responding to climate change, inclusion and connected histories. Capturing bodies in motion to explore deep human narratives by combining choreography and cinematography.
As well as creating and producing her own films, Sima Gonsai supports and mentors artists from digital, dance and visual art backgrounds.
Broadcast credits include BBCArts, SkyArts, B2022 Cultural Festival for The Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Sima is a resident curator for BAFTA qualifying Flatpack Film Festival, a judge for One Dance UK and screendance festivals across the globe.
